Oracle Shores
Permitting and Wetland Restoration

WRA prepared a Section 404 and BCDC jurisdictional wetlands delineation and wetland mitigation plan for an Oracle Corporation R&D facility in Redwood City. One element of the mitigation involved buffering restored tidal wetland endangered species habitat along Belmont Slough from potential impacts of a planned recreational trail. Other design features were incorporated into the wetland mitigation to replicate wetland habitats impacted by the project. WRA prepared the required Corps Section 404 Individual Permit application and RWQCB Section 401 permit application. WRA conducted five years of wetland monitoring to document the successful establishment of the restored wetland habitat.

Deliverables:
  • Section 404 jurisdictional wetlands delineation report
  • Section 404 Individual Permit application; Section 401 water quality permit application
