Coyote Valley
Specific Plan Biological Studies
WRA is providing assistance to the City of San Jose as it plans for the future development of the Coyote Valley in south San Jose. A biological assessment was conducted over the entire 7,358-acre Coyote Valley Specific Plan area to map plant communities and identify sensitive habitats. A jurisdictional wetlands delineation was completed for the portions of the Valley proposed for development. An analysis of potential mitigation opportunities was prepared for the Coyote Greenbelt and other suitable land in the Valley. An ongoing analysis of potential project impacts is being conducted as development plans are proposed and revised. Numerous community meetings were attended to present findings of WRA studies and answer questions on biological resources in the Valley. WRA will be assisting with preparation of CEQA documents over the next year.
