Cheryl Vann,
MS
Biologist

Cheryl Vann is a Wetland Training Institute (WTI) certified wetland delineator and has more than ten years of environmental consulting experience in biological research and project management. She received her MS in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana, Missoula, and her BA in Biology (with an emphasis in Ecology) at Stanford University. Ms. Vann has conducted stream assessment surveys, wetland delineations, GPS mapping, and species identification and monitoring work in California, Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). She facilitates stakeholder groups consisting of a diverse set of constituents, and has several years experience in public outreach and education projects. In addition, she has developed data surveys, conducted statistical analysis, published her research, and presented at scientific conferences.
At WRA, Ms. Vann's work includes wetland delineation, rare plant surveys, habitat restoration, hydrological monitoring, GPS mapping, and aerial photograph interpretation. She has also monitored and conducted special status species surveys for Metcalf Canyon jewelflower, Santa Clara Valley dudleya, Western Burrowing Owl, California Least Tern, California Red-legged Frog, Foothill Yellow-legged Frog, California Tiger Salamander, Alameda Whipsnake, and vernal pool tadpole shrimp. She prepares biological resources assessments and wetland delineation reports for clients in addition to permit applications for agencies including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), California Department of Fish & Game (CDFG), and Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB).
