Jeffrey S. Dreier, BS
Principal, Senior Wildlife Ecologist

Mr. Dreier is a Principal and Senior Wildlife Ecologist for WRA, Inc. with 15 years of environmental consulting experience in both biology and project management. He has extensive experience supervising and conducting biological assessments, special status wildlife surveys and habitat assessments, environmental impact analyses, and mitigation monitoring in most habitat types occurring in northern and central California.
Mr. Dreier is responsible for managing WRA wildlife projects, fish and wildlife surveys, habitat evaluations, post-project monitoring, and report preparation. He is experienced in conducting surveys and habitat assessments for several special status species including bats, California Clapper Rail, California Black Rail, Swainson's Hawk, Saltmarsh Common Yellowthroat, tidal Song Sparrow subspecies, Northern Spotted Owl, Burrowing Owl, California Tiger Salamander, Western Pond Turtle, Foothill Yellow-legged Frog, California Red-legged Frog, and Bay checkerspot butterfly. He holds a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) permit to conduct surveys for listed vernal pool crustaceans and the federal threatened California tiger salamander. He has prepared numerous biological resource sections (biological setting, and impact and mitigation analysis) for CEQA documents, including Initial Studies and Environmental Impact Reports. Mr. Dreier also assisted with the planning and implementation of a watershed monitoring program for the Ten Mile River in Mendocino County. He has coordinated research among state and federal agencies including the California Department of Fish and Game, California Department of Forestry, USFWS, and the National Marine Fisheries Service.
