Spencer Badet,
BS
Biologist

Spencer Badet received his BS from San Francisco State University, majoring in biology with a concentration in ecology. He is a Marine Corps veteran and has a wide variety of consulting experience dealing with wetland, wildlife, and plant ecology in central and southern California.
Mr. Badet is a Wetlands Training Institute (WTI) certified wetland delineator and has received practitioner-level training in the Corps Rapid Assessment Method for Wetlands (CRAM). He has conducted wetland delineations and assessments in salt marsh, salt pond, freshwater marsh, seasonal wetland, vernal pool, ephemeral stream, riverine, and other environments. He has conducted biological resource assessments and provided site-specific environmental guidance for projects ranging from residential and industrial development to habitat restoration and wetland creation projects. Mr. Badet has coordinated and participated in protocol-level surveys for California Tiger Salamander, California Red-legged Frog, Foothill Yellow-legged Frog, California Clapper Rail, Western Burrowing Owl, and vernal pool tadpole shrimp. He has experience with Alameda Whipsnake, Giant Garter Snake, San Francisco Garter Snake, Western Pond Turtle, fairy shrimp, Tule Elk, and Steelhead Trout, among other special-status species. Mr. Badet has also participated in ambitious vegetative community mapping efforts and plant surveys in central and southern California. He has prepared permitting and compliance packages for such agencies as the US Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), California Department of Fish & Game (CDFG), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), San Francisco Bay Conservation & Development Commission (SFBCDC), and others. Mr. Badet is particularly interested in restoration and conservation projects.
